As a seasoned explorer of both the world and the written word, I am fortunate to be able to bring a rich tapestry of experience to my storytelling. A proud Yorkshireman with deep English roots, my journey began early, fostering a lifelong passion for travel that has taken me to far-flung corners of the globe. This inherent curiosity and exposure to diverse cultures deeply informs my perspectives and narratives.

Beyond the literary realm, my creative spirit finds expression in the tangible arts. As an artist working with cement, clay, and steel, I like to think I possess a unique understanding of form, texture, and the enduring power of raw materials – qualities that hopefully lend a grounded and visceral quality to my writing.

A keen interest in history fuels my intellectual pursuits, undoubtedly providing a wealth of inspiration and context for my work. When not immersed in the past or shaping physical creations, I enjoy varied pursuits such as mountain biking and the mindful discipline of yoga.
